For 50 years, The Hope Institute for Children and Families has been providing care and education to children with multiple disabilities. The Hope Institute provides 24-hour care to over 110 children and youth with multiple disabilities. Caring for children with multiple disabilities is no easy task, but since 1957 Hope has not only cared for, but has been recognized as a leader in the State of Illinois for its work with these special children.

To qualify for these positions, you must be at least 21 years of age, with a high school diploma or equivalency, and possess a valid IL driver’s license. Previous experience caring for individuals with disabilities a PLUS!
Qualified candidates will be required to complete a reading comprehension test, drug screening and criminal background check.
Driving Directions
From Chicago – travel I-55 South to Exit 94 (Stevenson Drive); turn Right.
• Proceed to West Lake Shore Drive (Walgreens & CVS Pharmacy on corner); turn Left.
• Continue to East Hazel Dell (road just before crossing the lake); turn Left.
• Turn Left (top of hill) off East Hazel Dell into The Hope School campus.
• Proceed straight ahead to the Learning Center; visitor parking is available in the large lot south of the building.
From St. Louis – travel I-55 North to Exit 94 (Stevenson Drive); at light turn right (east).
• Proceed to West Lake Shore Drive (4th light) (CVS Pharmacy on corner); turn left.
• Continue to East Hazel Dell (road just before you cross the lake); turn left.
• Turn at first left (top of hill) off Hazel Dell is the entrance to Hope School.
• Proceed straight ahead to the Learning Center; visitor parking is available in the large lot south of the building.
